Jenny
is an award winning vocalist and native Floridian. Although
she moved to Alabama for several years she now resides in
Hernando County Florida. Jenny comes from a large family of
two brothers and five sisters, all of whom sing or play and
instrument or both. Her love of music began at
the age of six. While singing Row Row Row Your Boat on a
family trip her oldest brother noticed that she had a natural
talent for singing harmony and that was only the beginning.
She grew up singing high tenor and at the age of twelve she
learned how to play the upright bass. Jenny and her family
played mostly Bluegrass and that was a huge influence on her
life as a musician. Jenny was so small that she had to stand
on a milk crate to reach the long neck of the upright bass.
She loved the attention she got for being so small and playing
such a huge instrument. Soon after she learned to play the
banjo and became very good at it. It wasn't until she was
fifteen that she learned to play the guitar. She finally
started singing in the church and at seventeen Jenny gave her
life to the Lord. During the next few years Jenny, her two
brothers, and her older sister formed a gospel group called the
"Glory Bound Sisters" and they performed all over Alabama.
In 1995
Jenny moved back to Florida and her love for music was
rekindled. She auditioned for a backup vocalist position with
a recording artist by the name of
John Steed and the Red
River Band. She got the job and they were soon performing
across Florida and Alabama and even West Virginia
to open for
Brian White.
The group recorded another
album with Jenny but things were leading her in a different
direction. She and the other harmony vocalist in the band
joined talents and formed a Female Vocal Trio called
"Remnant." The trio sang Christian Country Music with a
con-temporary style. Remnant has performed at a multitude of
venues all throughout Florida and even at the famous "Bluebird
Cafe" in Nashville. Christian Country music is very re-warding
to Jenny but the lure of New Country music was so enticing
that she
teamed up with
Brian Chytka
in early 2004 and they opened the
concert for Nashville recording artist Kyle Wyley
at the PRCA
Pro Rodeo, in April 2005
"The Marshal Tucker Band", for
John
Anderson in 2006, and the "Bellamy Brothers" in 2007. Jenny
has decided to pursue a solo music career and is performing
every weekend at various venues across Florida and enjoying
great success.
In
March 2005 Jenny received the HORIZON AWARD
for FEMALE VOCALIST and was awarded FEMALE ENTERTAINER
of the YEAR. In 2006 she was
awarded FEMALE VOCALIST
of the YEAR.
and with her good friend
Brian Chytka
they received COUNTRY DUO of the YEAR
by North American Country Music Association
International. Jenny is currently working on an all original solo album.
There are only good things on the horizon for Jenny Rimmer.
Jenny has a passion for

their families, and the staff of the
